Historical Figurine Museum
In 1901, began the large collection of figurines gathered at the Town Hall of Compiègne, thanks to two important bequests from Alfred Ternisien and Arthur de Marsy. The first set includes thousands of figurines from the 1900s, representing the armies of history; the second is made up of fully polychrome wooden soldiers made at the end of the 18th century. A large exhibition was organized in 1948 by the Society of Historical Figurines Collectors. Donations from major players in the historical figurine world of the time then flowed to Compiègne. www.musee-figurine.fr
